New Nissan TITAN PRO-4X Earns Top Accolade

When it comes to serious off-roading capabilities, the Nissan TITAN PRO-4X is second to none. Just recently, the new truck was designated as the top vehicle in the “Best Value Extreme Off-Road” segment at the Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards (ALV).

Picked for its overall performance, the tough truck was judged by a panel of more than 20 judges, including automotive journalists, ex-pro athletes, triathletes and cyclists. The program scours over new vehicles in a number of classifications: luxury, off-road, green vehicles and family value.

"We are thrilled to win the "Best Value Extreme Off-Road" category at the Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards two-years running," said Billy Hayes, division vice president, Commercial Vehicles and Trucks, Nissan North America, Inc. "The TITAN lineup is designed to be "ready for adventure," whether transporting equipment or mastering a challenging off-road trail.”

Powered by a 5.6-liter V8 that puts out a truly impressive 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, the new TITAN PRO-4X offers plenty of gusto to get you where you need to go in a hurry. The powerhouse is paired to a smooth, seven-speed automatic transmission, translating power to all four wheels. Towing capacity tops off at 9,230 pounds.

The hefty hauler comes fitted with a plethora of off-road features as well. Highlights include off-road-tuned Bilstein shocks, hill descent control, a lockable rear differential and a seven-pin wiring harness connector for added convenience. Buyers of the new truck in Mesquite will also get to enjoy skid plates, front tow hooks, foglights, automatic wipers, a spray-in bedliner, navigation and dual-zone climate control.
