Last June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex, England, Nissan unveiled its spectacular Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo! The supercar - a 4-D embodiment of the video-game car that will be featured in Gran Turismo 6 - was a stunner and it's got industry authorities guessing that it could hint at the future design language of Nissan's performance lineup.

Unfortunately, Concept 2020 will only be available to drive on the virtual grid, but it will play an integral role in the development of aspiring racecar drivers who enroll in the Nissan GT Academy. We've written about it before, but just as a refresher, the GT Academy is an online school where gamers who desire to become real-life racecar drivers can compete for a chance to train with Nissan.

NISMO driver Jann Mardenborough, one of the Academy's most well-known alumni, was at the festival and got to take a virtual spin in Concept 2020. He compared the car's narrative to his own, stating: "It's kind of like my story of GT Academy, coming from the virtual world into the real-life racing world." He also stated, "I still train on Gran Turismo ... It's still a crucial part of my development as a driver."
