DiversityInc Magazine has come out with their list of Top 25 Noteworthy Companies and we’re honored to announce Nissan earned a prime spot. 2016 marks the third year in a row Nissan has made DiversityInc’s coveted compilation, an achievement that can be attributed to the company’s initiatives in creating cultural awareness within the workplace and community.

"With the most diverse consumer base of any automotive manufacturer, we understand the importance of authentic engagement with our employees and the communities where we live and work," said Rebecca Vest, vice president of Corporate Development and Social Responsibility at Nissan. "Members of our 25 employee resource groups work to raise cultural awareness within the company and serve as ambassadors within the community to educate others about the value of diversity."

In addition to their resource groups, the company developed the Nissan Foundation over 23 years ago in an effort to provide funds for organizations with programs aimed to educate people on cultural diversity. Nissan also promotes diversity through partnerships with several local and national organizations, including the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, NAACP, Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce, National Society of Black Engineers and Japan-America Society of Tennessee.

Over the years, Nissan has made numerous efforts to bring light to cultural awareness within the company and they continue to break new ground each year. As a Nissan dealership, we are proud to see their initiatives praised by others and hope to see them reach new heights in the future.
