The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has earned a 5-star rating as a part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program. A big achievement for the new SUV, the previous Pathfinder took home the 5-star rating every year since 2014, leaving the 2017 model with big shoes to fill.

"This latest Pathfinder is designed to be everything customers want in a family adventure vehicle," said Michael Bunce, vice president, product planning, Nissan North America. "Pathfinder delivers a safe and secure driving experience that is now augmented with our Nissan Safety Shield suite of technologies."

Designed to keep passengers protected at all times, the 2017 Pathfinder features a range of advanced safety equipment. Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control, Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are just a few of the driver-assist technologies offered on the SUV. It also comes with Nissan Advanced Airbag System, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, roof-mounted curtain airbags, Traction Control and Vehicle Dynamic Control.
