The brand-new 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO recently made its grand debut at the famed Nürburgring race track in Germany, where it showed off its latest performance upgrades for the new model year. Those in attendance also got the chance to check out the sports car’s refreshed exterior and new interior features, which improve its overall appearance, along with the in-car experience.

On the surface, the new GT-R NISMO is more appealing than the outgoing model. The car sports a large, dark chrome “V-motion” grille, a dramatic new front fascia, a new reinforced hood that keeps its aerodynamic shape and a bumper layered with carbon fiber sheets to increase stiffness.

Inside the sports car, changes have been made to better suit drivers. The number of controls on the center stack has been reduced from 27 to 11, an easy-to-use, large 8-inch touch-panel monitor has been installed and a Display Command control has been fitted in the center console, making it simple for drivers to carry out certain commands without using the monitor. Additionally, the GT-R’s steering wheel is now covered in Alcantara suede, while leather-appointed Recaro seats with red suede inserts provide maximum comfort.

Complete with refined shock absorbers, stabilizers and springs, the 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO offers greater performance this year. The car’s handling and balance have also drastically improved, making it a joy to drive on both windy roads and at the race track. Fitted with a twin-turbo 3.8L V6, generating 600 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 481 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,600 rpm, the new GT-R NISMO is a must-have for speed enthusiasts. A six-speed dual-clutch gearbox is mated to the engine that further supports the car’s performance offerings.

Look out for the new 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO to arrive at Trophy Nissan within the next few months!
