For the fifth consecutive year, Nissan has received the Energy Star Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award. The incredibly high honor was presented to the automaker for its commitment to preserving the environment by reducing energy usage throughout it facilities and plants across the country.

"Nissan is honored to once again be recognized as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the year," said Rebecca Vest, vice president, Corporate Development and Social Responsibility. "We continue to make improvements to our operations that reduce our environmental footprint as we manufacture the highest quality vehicles sold in North America."

Through its partnership with ENERGY STAR, Nissan has been able to discover new ways to practice energy conservation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The company has made several changes within its facilities in an effort to run a more eco-friendly business. From new LED lighting and improving industrial motor efficiency to utilizing an environmentally friendly paint process and repairing compressed air leaks, Nissan is doing its part to protect the environment.

In addition to practicing sustainability with its facilities, Nissan also offers eco-friendly vehicles.
