The Texas Auto Writers Association’s annual Texas Auto Roundup, which is comprised of two days of vehicle test driving and evaluations, recently went off without a hitch at the Texas Motor Speedway. And, out of the 53 models assessed during the event, we’re proud to reveal the 2016 Nissan Murano was named “Activity Vehicle of Texas” for its standout features and incredible capabilities.

At this year’s Texas Auto Roundup, journalists from 11 states evaluated each vehicle in 17 different categories. In the SUV category, they found that the 2016 Nissan Murano trumps the competition when it comes to luxury and design. With innovative appearance and collection of premium components, it’s difficult not to appreciate the beauty of the third-generation Murano.

"Our members were impressed by the Murano as a versatile crossover in a highly competitive category," said Nicholas Phillips, president, TAWA. "Particularly, Murano scored highly for its well-executed, luxurious interior and its bold exterior styling, which pushed it to the front of the category pack."

Key attributes on the 2016 Nissan Murano include a “floating” roof design, LED boomerang headlights, Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating and an oversized panoramic sunroof. If you want to see more of what the model has to offer, come check it out now at Trophy Nissan.
