Nissan GT-R Makes History in India

In celebration of 68 years of Nissan Motor India, the astute automaker has recruited its flagship Nissan GT-R sports car to create the world’s largest-ever country map. The move positions the company to enter the Limca Book of Records – the Indian version of Guinness Book of World Records. Saluting the Indian Republic in a very big way, the GT-R carved out the map of India extending 1.9 square miles on the ultra-dry surface of Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan. As you can imagine, it took a great deal of precision and skillful driving to accomplish this impressive endeavor, which signifies the arrival of the GTR in India. Nissan chose the venue for its gorgeous landscape and soil, which was perfect in helping the car leave deep impressions for the country’s distinct outline. Driven by professional rally racer Rahul Kanthraj, the GT-R’s excellent engineering mechanics helped pave the way for the map’s successful completion.

Limca Book of Records officials were on hand to verify the process. The one-of-a-kind record is set to appear in the 2018 edition of the book. Discover the mind-blowing power and handling of the new GT-R for yourself by taking one for a test drive at Trophy Nissan.
