Trophy Nissan Shows Off the New Nissan Sentra
Refreshed and restyled, the 2016 Nissan Sentra is a beautiful compact sedan. Its brand-new exterior now features the same design language as the 2016 Altima and Maxima, each of which have engaging appearances. Featuring a revised grille, updated fenders, brand-new boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights, and fresh front/rear fascias, the Sentra dons a much more athletic aesthetic most buyers will find pleasing. The sedan also comes with revised interior components, innovative safety features, a fresh paint color option and new technologies, which you can read about in our 2016 Nissan Sentra review below.
Like the exterior, the interior of the 2016 Nissan Sentra in Mesquite has also been altered this year. A new steering wheel, console, shift knob, audio display design and center cluster can be found inside the compact sedan. Additionally, NissanConnectSM Services are now offered on the Sentra, allowing drivers to remotely access features inside the vehicle and set customized alerts. Other NissanConnect Services are available on the Technology Package offered on the SR and SL trims, such as Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Cruise Control and Forward Emergency Braking. A few of these safety features are also offered separately this year, while a new paint color, Deep Blue Pearl, has been added to the exterior color palette.
Unchanged this year is the Sentra's engine. The fuel-efficient 1.8L four-cylinder powerplant continues to deliver 130 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque alongside either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. This great fuel economy is achieved with the Sentra FE+ S model, which produces an EPA-estimated 34 mpg combined, 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. Several enhancements, including a retuned suspension design, the addition of Active Understeer Control, increased body stiffness, and D-Step Logic Control also improve the performance of the 2016 Nissan Sentra in Mesquite.
