Mesquite Nissan Dealer Researches the New Versa
The 2016 Nissan Versa and Versa Note receive slight changes for the new model year. Both models receive two new exterior colors, Cayenne Red and Gun Metallic, along with new standard equipment on select trim levels. For 2016, the Versa sedan is offered in four models, S, S Plus, SV and DL, while the Versa Note is offered in five models: S, S Plus, SV, SR and SL. The 2016 Nissan Versa sedan in Mesquite receives a variety of updates for 2016 that enhance the car's appeal. The S trim gains standard rear speakers, the SL trim receives a leather-wrapped steering wheel and all models now come standard with body-colored power outside mirrors. These modifications are the only ones found on the sedan variant this year, while the Note SV model comes with new standard features previously a part of the SV Convenience Package. Bluetooth Hands-Free Text Messaging, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a Divide-N-Hide Adjustable Floor, a RearView Monitor and NissanConnectSM with Mobile Apps are now automatically included on the SV, benefiting buyers with an interest in high-tech features.
A 1.6L four-cylinder engine, generating 109 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque, is underneath the hood of the 2016 Nissan Versa in Mesquite, as well as the Versa Note. On the sedan, the engine can be paired with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic on the S trim, while all other models come with the CVT. On the Versa Note, the displacement can only be matched with a five-speed manual on the S model, while the remainder of the trims get a CVT. When it comes to fuel economy, the CVT is the way to go. Both versions of the Versa generate 35 mpg combined, 31 city and 40 highway with the CVT, which benefits drivers who want to save money on fuel.
