What's New for the 2019 Nissan Versa?

Nissan has been making high-quality subcompact cars for years. The 2019 Nissan Versa is no exception. This vehicle is part of the second generation of Versas which was introduced back in 2012. Not many changes came, or were needed, for this newest model. The most notable change is the addition of several features to the SV Special Edition trim package.

2019 Versa Trims & Features

There are three main trims available for the Versa. They are the S, S+, and SL. Each of these trim levels can comfortably seat 5. The S is available in 4 attractive colors, while the S+ comes in 5 and the SL comes in 6.

One of the greatest things about the 2019 Versa is its level of smartphone connectivity. With the Available Nissan Intelligent Mobility, you can access your music, maps, and apps all on your 7" touchscreen. The 2019 Versa comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both of those options unlock many features with a compatible smart device.

The drive computer tells you all sorts of relevant information, including how far you can go before your fuel tank is empty, the fuel economy, and the outside temperature. The Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System means you can stay in touch with the people that matter without taking your hands off the wheel. Speaking of Bluetooth®, there is also a streaming audio feature that allows you to play your own music from anywhere inside your Versa.

Need a lot of cargo room? The 14.9-cubic-foot trunk rivals much larger vehicles when it comes to space. The SV features a folding rear back seat, giving drivers even more room to stash their stuff.

2019 Nissan Versa Horsepower

2019 Nissan Versa Front HeadlightNo matter what trim level you go with, Nissan decided to go with a 1.6-liter I-4 engine for the 2019 Versa. This pairs extremely well with the 5-speed manual w/OD transmission is the S trim and the 2-speed CVT w/OD transmission in the S+ and SL trims. Each trim level is front-wheel drive and offers excellent gas mileage. In the S, drivers get a combined MPG of 30. Those who go with the S+ or the SL get an impressive 34 MPG combined.

Nissan Versa Safety

2019 Nissan Versa Rear Tail LightNissan values the safety of you and your loved ones and it shows with the standard and available safety options on the 2019 Versa. Drivers get traction control, electronic stability control, 4-Wheel ABS, and brake assist. Airbags include driver, passenger, front head, rear head, and front side.

A rearview monitor comes standard on all trim levels of the 2019 Versa. Another high-tech safety feature is the tire pressure monitoring system which alerts you on the dashboard when you need to stop and add air. The included child safety locks help to make this a great vehicle choice for families. Another feature making this a good family car is the LATCH car seat attaching system.
