After spending a day out with her husband and three sons, Jessie Bruton was surprised to see a new Pathfinder parked in her yard. The SUV was decorated with a large bow and an unsigned note was left inside, along with paperwork from the dealership where it was purchased.
"It was just incredible to get home and see the car parked there with a red bow and a lovely card saying they hoped it would help my family out, and make me smile," she said.
Bruton, an Oak Flats, Australia resident, has had a hard time traveling by car since losing the ability to move her legs after giving birth to her third son. She is currently attending rehab and hopes to walk again one day, but her old car made this a challenge because it was constantly in need of repairs and could not fit her wheelchair. The new Nissan Pathfinder, however, has been a big help in getting Bruton to her rehabilitation sessions. She also recently passed her disability driving test, and the SUV's anonymous buyer had it specially fitted with hand controls, so Bruton can commute independently.
"It's really lovely to know there are people in this world who are willing to give something without receiving any recognition ... I respect that they want to remain anonymous, but I'd just like to thank them for letting me drive again - letting me feel a bit normal again," she said.
Anonymously donating a car is incredibly bighearted to say the least and we commend the individual who donated such an amazing gift. This is a wonderful story and we wish Bruton luck in her recovery!
