Trophy Nissan is proud to sponsor the “Run the Highlands” race on Saturday, April 26! The race starts at Lake Highlands High School and passes through the NEW Lake Highlands Trails. If you’d like to get out for a day of fun with your fellow community members and help support The Highlands Junior Women’s League (LHJWL), you won’t want to miss this event!
“Run the Highlands” is a certified 5K race and family trail walk followed by a fun carnival sponsored by Trophy Nissan and LHJWL. The league is an organization whose purpose is to instill a sense of community for young women in Lake Highlands through volunteer and social activities, with a focus on raising funds for the beautification and improvement of the Lake Highlands area.
In their first nine years, LHJWL has raised over $300,000 for the Lake Highlands Community through several local events. The majority of the donations are used for improvements and amenities at the Lake Highlands North Park and Recreation Center and surrounding parks.
