The Nissan Foundation was established in 1992 in the Los Angeles area to respond to growing social challenges and community unrest. With a strong presence in California, Nissan aimed to support local communities through charitable initiatives and civic involvement. Over the years, the foundation has provided funding to schools, libraries, media outlets, and cultural institutions across the United States. Its grants focus on promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness, especially in communities with limited resources.
Nissan announced that it hoped to achieve a zero-carbon emissions goal by 2050. With that in mind, the automaker unveiled its Nissan Z concept racing cars, the 230 and 244. Both of the cars raced at the ENEOS Super Taikyu Series 2022, which they hosted at the Fuji Speedway on June 4th and June 5th. They designed the 230 to use carbon-neutral fuel (CNF). Meanwhile, the 244 draws power sources from a gasoline engine.
