Nissan Future

By introducing some notable new products this year, Nissan is looking to bounce back from one of the most challenging years in the auto industry's history. For consumers, that means a broader choice of vehicles, including a sleek new electric vehicle that's causing a stir among Nissan consumers and auto critics alike. The new product, which is the Ariya, joins Nissan's growing lineup of electric cars. The Ariya joins the Nissan Leaf, a market-leading fully electric sedan. A refreshed Nissan Frontier, Nissan Pathfinder, Z Proto, and Nissan Leaf are other notable changes for the automaker.

  Nissan's New Era

Nissan Z Proto

The all-new Nissan Z Proto is expected to be powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine producing 400 HP with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z Proto will keep the classic short rear deck, long hood proportions. Classic Z styling elements will feature a modern look yet will be immediately recognized as the Nissan Z.

2022 Nissan Frontier

For the 2022 year, the Nissan Frontier, the company's popular midsize pickup truck, arrives on the market with a fresh round of updates. The same six-cylinder gasoline engine powers the 2022 Frontier, but it has a bump in payload capabilities and towing power. The Frontier has a new touchscreen interface this year with a larger display screen and more capabilities such as navigation.

Additional safety technology is standard on the 2022 Nissan Frontier. The pickup now offers another trim level in the lineup called the Pro-4X. This new trim is off-road-oriented with an exterior that features a custom Dana axle in the rear and Bilstein shocks. It also has rugged tires and roof rails. Four-wheel drive is standard on this trim and offered with the others.

Pathfinder

Nissan's Pathfinder SUV has been redesigned with a new look and a fresh wave of new technology, and more rugged styling. The 2022 Pathfinder will use the same engine as last year's model but with a new nine-speed transmission. It leads its class in towing capabilities with 6,000 pounds in pulling power. There are updates to its technology as well. The previous single-screen touchscreen interface is now replaced with a dual-screen. The gear shifter is also relocated to make gear shifting easier for the driver.

2022 Nissan Ariya

The Ariya is a new electric crossover SUV from Nissan. You'll get two rows of seating with the Ariya, which has a capacity of five and plenty of interior space. A highlight of the Ariya is its fuel economy, projected to reach 300 miles on electric power. Two powertrain configurations are available for the 2022 Ariya, ranging in power output from 215 HP to just under 400 HP. The Nissan Ariya will have either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive as a choice of drivetrain. Its standard safety amenities include the Safety Shield 360 suite. Semi-autonomous driving technology is also included, and you can get more safety aids through the Pro Pilot Assist package.

Nissan Leaf

Those wanting a capable electric sedan should consider the Nissan Leaf, which has the Leaf's best features in 2021, plus some refreshments that include more advanced technology and more standard safety equipment. The 2021 Leaf will reach about 225 miles when fully charged with electricity. It also has a customizable display with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and navigation included.
