What's New for the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder?

In 2019, the fan-favorite Nissan Pathfinder, which has been in production since 1986, gets just enough of an improvement in this model year to keep customers happy without losing its signature appeal. This year, the Pathfinder offers great value for the number of standard and optional amenities in its cabin.

The Pathfinder comes standard this year with two USB Type-C ports in each trim that join the standard USB ports offered before. Brighter, more visible LED lights are standard on the higher-level trims. A new exterior paint color this year, called Mocha Almond Pearl, gives the Pathfinder more custom options than ever before. Standard, more advanced safety technology is added to the lower-level trims, including rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and radar-controlled cruise control.

The entry-level trim of the Nissan Pathfinder is the S. This trim level comes standard in two-wheel drive, and front-wheel drive is optional. With this trim, you'll get standard features in the form of a tri-zone temperature control, split-folding seats in the second row, and room to seat seven passengers. As for technology, this trim gives you an eight-inch infotainment system, HD radio, AM/FM radio, and a three-month complimentary subscription to satellite radio.

Cruise control is also standard, and controls for cruise control and the infotainment system are mounted on the steering wheel. The SV adds fog lights, a remote start capacity, and additional safety features such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Fog lights, standard on this trim and up, enhance your visibility. With this trim level and up, you will get three 12V charging outlets to make sure your devices are ready for use when needed.

The SL adds heated and leather front seats, a motion-activated liftgate, and a panoramic camera that helps you monitor activity on all sides. In this trim level, the infotainment system also comes standard with navigation, which is only optional in the lower-level trims. In addition to three 12V power outlets, you'll also get a 120V power outlet. A premium Bose audio system is available on this trim level. Moving up to the Platinum, you will get premier 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, heated and cooled front seats, and a more advanced Bose audio system with 13 speakers.
