What's New For the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

Since its inception, Nissan Pathfinder is known to offer a tremendous price-value proposition. It is a family-oriented Jeep, which is notable for its comfortable cabin and a resounding 6,000-pound towing capacity.

Compared to the previous model, the newer Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with a V-Motion grille with cooling performance. The front chin spoiler design ensures that the air is angled downward without compromising the off-road driving experience. It also has simplified motion-activated liftgate with position memory in the Pathfinder SL, and Platinium trims. Some of the other prominent features include recessed front windshield wipers, roof rails, chrome door handles, and privacy glass.

The choice of color includes nine patterns. For more demanding customers, there is also an option to preorder Pearl White Tricoat and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat colors. All the Platinium grade trims have a standard Moonroof that can slide towards the 2nd and 3rd-row seats.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?

The 2020 model comes with four trim levels. The baseline model is Pathfinder S, while the upgraded versions include Pathfinder SV, Pathfinder SL, and Pathfinder Platinium trims. There is a clear price distinction in each of the four models for easy decision-making.

Standard features in the baseline version S includes Bluetooth® hands-free phone system, EZ Flex Seating System, emergency brakes, universal transceiver, and blind-spot detection. An upgrade to the SV will reveal an eight-way power driver seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and shift knob, among other useful features.

The SL version gives you the heated leather-appointed first and second-row seats, four-way powered front passenger seat, the intelligent around-view monitor, and a heated steering wheel. The Platinium offers many luxuries not found on other trims. A 20-inch machined alloy wheel, cooled front seats, dual panorama roof, and a woodgrain finishing are its most prominent features.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

2020 Nissan PathfinderThe new Pathfinder is equipped with a powerful V6 engine that generates nearly 284hp from a 3.5-liter engine. The engine complements a continuously variable automatic CVT transmission, which is smooth and unobtrusive for such a large vehicle.

The vehicle is able to tow up to 6000 pounds, which is far better than any of its nearest rivals. On highways, the SUV will offer 27mpg compared to 20mpg inside cities for 2WD models. On four-wheel-drive variants, the fuel economy is competitive.

Which Safety Features are Available on the 2020 Pathfinder?

2020 Nissan PathfinderEven the standard model comes equipped with hordes of basic driver assistance features such as the Nissan intelligent mobility, driver emergency braking, around view monitor, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic, and checks for obstacles. If this doesn't seem impressive, then the more expansive versions of the Pathfinder offer Standard forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control.
