Recently unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Nissan’s eye-catching Sway Concept gives viewers a glimpse of the automaker’s plans for a future compact hatchback. Sway’s European styling is bold and exciting, breaking away from the status quo with a floating panoramic-glass roof, evolved V-Motion Grill and dynamic lines all over that show off the hatchback’s shapely exterior.
Nissan is already known for its at times radical vehicle designs, like the Juke for example, and Sway gives us the sense that the company is ready to give future shoppers yet another vehicle option with envelope-pushing style. Nissan says Sway’s design theme can be seen in the newly redesigned 2015 Murano that just launched in the U.S., but notes that it’s the first time this styling language is being applied to a compact hatchback, which Nissan hopes will move this important vehicle segment in a bolder direction.
Other notable design highlights include boomerang lamps, large fenders and a kicked-up C-pillar, while the interior gets a wing-shaped, tablet-inlayed dashboard and simple yet elegant styling that’s almost architectural in feel.
