You all know Nissan for its award-winning electric-powered LEAF, but you may not have heard about its unique pint-sized EV concept - the Scoot Quad. We'd love to get our hands on one of these, but alas they are only being previewed in San Francisco at the moment. Still, we thought you'd get a kick out of seeing one on video.
Nissan's Scoot Quad joins a network of other light electric vehicles from Scoot Networks. Before the company only offered two-wheel mopeds and larger cargo outfits. Now, Nissan has created the network's first four-wheel option and it gets greater range, up to 40 miles, than any other vehicle in Scoot Networks' lineup.
The little EV can travel at speeds up to 25 mph and is currently being used by San Francisco residents for everything from running quick errands to exploring The Golden Gate City in a fun new way. Potential users can locate and reserve the two-seat Scoot Quad via a mobile app and no special license is needed to drive it, plus there are Scoot memberships that offer basic liability insurance to users.
Now that you know a little bit about the Nissan Scoot Quad, get ready to see it in action. Click play to get the video started!
