Another one of the many sedans that will end production soon, Nissan announced plans to discontinue its Nissan Maxima around the mid part of 2023. The decision followed at the heels of a dramatic drop in sales, and in the first half of 2022, Nissan had only sold 3,753 units of the Maxima. To put that into perspective, the Altima, in the same time frame, sold 78,610 units.
After 42 years on the market, Nissan has announced that the Maxima will no longer be produced. The decision is part of the automaker's plan to focus on more popular and profitable models.
