In partnership with inventor Hamish Scott, Nissan worked on developing an all-organic glow-in-the-dark car paint. The new product is being used on the Nissan LEAF to promote the idea of using solar energy to power the zero-emissions electric car. Recently, Nissan conjured “Tron” when taking LEAF on the world’s first glowing motorway, which is also designed for energy efficiency.

Nissan has teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to build a brand-new home for a local Dallas veteran, Brenda Lopez. A current Army Reserve member, Lopez served with the 360th Brigade in Iraq back in 2008 and 2009.

Recently unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Nissan’s eye-catching Sway Concept gives viewers a glimpse of the automaker’s plans for a future compact hatchback. Sway’s European styling is bold and exciting, breaking away from the status quo with a floating panoramic-glass roof, evolved V-Motion Grill and dynamic lines all over that show off the hatchback’s shapely exterior.

If you caught Nissan’s “With Dad” Super Bowl ad, which also featured the hot new GT-R based Le Mans racecar, you may have noticed that there was a deep plum-colored sports sedan quickly spotlighted at the very end of the commercial. That car was the redesigned 2016 Maxima, which is scheduled to debut at the New York International Auto Show this April. However, Nissan is obviously giving the nation a peek at what they can expect. The 2015 Nissan Murano has been named "Best New/Redesigned Midsize Crossover" by Kiplinger's Personal Finance as a part of their 2015 Best Value Awards. The all-new crossover was presented the award at this year's Washington Auto Show, where it was recognized for its excellent performance, overall price, advanced safety features, value and first-class driving dynamics.

The future of autonomous cars is something Nissan has been taking very seriously, and to show just how committed it is, the automaker has officially teamed up with NASA for a five-year research and development project centered on autonomous vehicles. Through this partnership, Nissan hopes to dive into the depths of autonomy and begin testing autonomous cars by the end of 2015.
